horizontal dividing line

We will have a potluck lunch followed by a time of sharing. We will reminisce about the past 30 years and look forward to the years ahead.

Anyone that is planning to be here for this special event needs to contact Mary Carrol at Mission Printing by October 7. Let Mary know if you are able to bring some food. If you cannot bring any food, please do not let that keep you from joining us for this great celebration.

Please begin sending us your thoughts about Mission Printing or stories from our past. We want to collect these and be able to share them with others. If you have any pictures that were taken at Mission Printing over the years, we would love to display these as well. The pictures will be returned.

A Report on a Visit to Ghana

Richard Renfro
Vice–president, Mission Printing Board of Trustees

I was privileged last month to meet thousands of dedicated Christians in Ghana, Africa. Willie Gley picked me up at the Accra Airport and right away I noticed something different. Most of the vehicles, buses, cars, taxis, and trucks had religious sayings and greetings on the back. Out of the orty countries in which I have traveled, this is the most outwardly religious country I have ever seen.

Willie was a gracious host and took care of me every day for which I'm very thankful. He is a conscientious and dedicated minister of the gospel. It is evident that he is a servant of the Lord by the way that he aids the student preachers and Christians. He helps them to learn how to teach and better serve our God. Willie is also trying to raise support for the Center of Biblical Studies (CBS) in Togo (French speaking) that has eleven preaching students. He also raises funds for the Mars Hill School in Ghana, which has Fifty-two children. He is very active in both of these important projects, but needs our prayers and funding.

Many thousands are being reached through his efforts in WBS correspondence courses and his effort with the World Radio listeners for whom he tries to obtain Bibles so they can be converted to the Truth. He travels to Mali, Equatorial Ghinea (Spanish speaking), Liberia, and many other places to help lost souls become Christians.

Most important to those who are actively involved in Mission Printing, Willie has volunteered to distribute hundreds of thousands of our tracts to West Africa. He is excited about having doctrinally sound material to give to many different areas, such as the biggest hospital in Ghana. Willie has just been given a permit to enter the government hospital at any time to distribute tracts. Willie meets with as many as 60 ministers on the first Sunday of every month and distributes thousands of tracts through them to their home congregations. Mission Printing is now making plans to transport large amounts of printed material to Ghana by a sea container, saving tens of thousands of dollars in shipping costs.
