Printing Accomplishments30,060,000 pages These numbers would be incredible by professional standards. Our printers aren't professional printers. They are men in their 60s and 80s who get their strength and commitment from their Savior! These men printed over 1,000 miles of gospel material in 2005! Mission Printing has never printed this volume before. We used 167 rolls of paper, each weighing about 450 lbs. People are starving for the Truth and God is using Mission Printing to feed them. Praise God! Our workers that collate the books are collating over 5,000 copies a day! Amazing! Especially when you know that our volunteers are in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and even 90s! "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power..." (2 Timothy 1:7). |

Fire Destroys Storage BuildingOn January 5, 2006, Mission Printing was the unfortunate target of arson. The primary fire was set in the storage building in the back of the property. This storage facility was used to store packing boxes, gospel materials in foreign languages, machines that had been donated, and various other items. A fire was also set next to one of the exterior doors, however, no damage was done We experienced extensive damage to the storage unit, but plans were made to attempt repairs. The repairs were begun this week, but during construction the structure collapsed. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Mission Printing would like to thank Bruce Carroll for his time and service in undertaking the job of rebuilding this building. We were happy that he was not hurt during the collapse of the structure. A special thank you also goes out to Bro. Carroll and Bro. Tom Griffith for undertaking the clean up and for hauling away the debris. We live in a world in which Satan constantly throws obstacles in our path. However, Mission Printing will never be detoured from out mission of "world evangelism by the printed page." We will continue to proclaim the saving message of Jesus with even more determination. Mission Printing is stronger because we overcome through our faith in our Savior. |

San Rafael, CA The San Rafael Church of Christ has a long history dating back to the World War II era. In July 1942, the first worship service on record for the congregation took place. Within five years, they were able to select its first elders. Hundreds of members have belonged to this church in the past, many going on to create other congregations in the area. Churches of Christ in Mill Valley, Novato, and Petaluma owe their beginnings to those who first worshiped in San Rafael. This has always been an evangelistic body of Christ. In January of 2005, Mission Printing received word from Freed-Hardeman University that the San Rafael Church of Christ was having to close its doors. The closing was not due to scriptural problems or any personal dissensions. It was simply the changing landscape of the city and neighboring areas. Many of the members of the congregation had moved elsewhere or had died. By the end of 2004, there were only a few left at San Rafael. These Christians could not continue paying the expenses on the church building and the |
preacher's home. It was then that the congregation decided it would be best to close and for the members to attend other congregations in the area. The church had decided several years ago that if it ever came to this point, they would use the funds from selling their assets to support Freed-Hardeman University and Mission Printing. The San Rafael Christians designated 90% for Freed-Hardeman and the remaining 10% for Mission Printing. As a result of this Christ-centered decision, we were blessed with a more than generous gift from this wonderful congregation in 2005. It is never a joy to see a congregation of the Lord's body close its doors. However, the Christians that belonged to the San Rafael Church of Christ should not be disheartened. Their legacy will live on through Freed-Hardeman, one of the brotherhood's greatest universities, and through Mission Printing, an organization dedicated to "world evangelism by the printed page." The San Rafael Church of Christ will forever be a part of the Mission Printing story and its members will always be a special part of the Mission Printing family! |

Please remember to spread the news of Mission Printing to individual Christians and congregations of the Lord's body. Our director, Vendall Dollarhide, is always ready for an opportunity to share the blessings of this wonderful work. If he has not made a presentation to your congregation, we pray that you will encourage the church leaders to invite him. He is always willing to fill the pulpit in the absence of the preacher and make presentations during class time. REMEMBER: The success of Mission Printing DEPENDS on you! |
