The Great Lie From Satan |
|||
It is said that a long time ago there was a conference in hell, and ol’ Lucifer was plotting and scheming how he might catch the human race and keep them from God. One fiendish lieutenant came to the master of evil and said, “If you will send me to earth, I will tell the people that there is no heaven to be gained.” Lucifer said to him, “No, no! They'll never believe it because there is a little bit of heaven in every heart.” Another fiend came forward, darker and fouler than the first, and he said to Lucifer, “If you would send me to earth, I would convince the people that they can sin with immunity. That God would continue to love and forgive. That He would never, ever, ever judge anyone, even if they didn't repent. I will convince them of that.” The father of darkness said, “No! These humans must not be underestimated. They have a conscience and deep withing the heart of every human is this sense of righteousness. Beneath all their protestations, they know that evil will be punished. They know that good will triumph over evil.”
A third lieutenant, from the darkest pit, emerged into the shadow of Lucifer's countenance and said, “Master, if you would send me, I would tell them this, ‘There is no hurry!’ ”
And Lucifer said, “Go.” It is so easy to think that there is no hurry when it comes to making a decision about our relationship with God. However, no one knows when their life will end. The greatest lie that the devil wants us to believe is that we have more than enough time to make a decision about eternity. He wants us to live for the day and not for eternity. This cannot be further from the truth. It is imperitive that we make this life changing |
decision today, this second. I have spoken at too many funerals for people that intended to change, but didn't. Entirely too many young people have bought into Satan's lie and waited too long. Fortunately, I have seen many people of all ages make the crucial decision to follow Jesus before their deaths. What if they had waited? If you know someone that is waiting for a better time to obey the gospel, then please do not hesitate. Tell them that such a vital decision is urgent! Be willing to do what it takes, however long, to answer their questions enabling them to make this decision which will affect their current life and their eternity. “... choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve ...” (Josh. 24:15) “Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.”. (Ps. 144:4) “... whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time then vanishes away.” (James. 4:14) I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers during my recent illnes. Thank you also for your calls and cards. I was glad to get out of the hospital and get back to Mission Printing. I am on medication now that seems to be working. I wanted to especially thank Mary Carroll and Betty Barfield for sitting with me in the emergency room after I collapsed at the office. They sat by my side until my wife arrived. These two women are indicative of all the women and men at Mission Printing. It just goes to emphasize what I have been saying the three years I've been at Mission Printing: WE ARE A FAMILY! Having been deeply involved in World Bible School Correspondence Course, sending them literally all over the world, and being introduced to Brother David Caskey, my mission Efforts have greatly expanded worldwide. Since becoming acquainted with Mission Printing through brother Caskey, I have been able, by the grace of God, to send their printed material to many countries. The most recent was the work by our dearly loved Brother Guy Casey, What the Christian Woman Can Do in the Church. This little booklet has gone to a brother in Crown Point, New Mexico, several different locations in Africa, three individuals in South China, some to the Philippines, and few into the Bahaman Islands. One lady in Ohio has received a copy as well as one couple in Mississippi and one lady in south Georgia. |
Any and every time I see an occasion to send ANY of the fine printed material by our brethren of Mission Printing, I avail upon them to assist in these cases. I have always been totally satisfied with their cooperation. I really do not know how their labors of love could ever be repaid in this life, but out Lord does and will. I look forward with great expectatin to continuing in this same manner of mission work in the future, as long as I am allowed to remain here and do so. May the God of the universe continue to richly bless each individual who labors with this fine organization and all who support them in any manner. In his great love and marvelous service, |

Tirey Samsil
Author of
“Why I Am a Member of the Lord's Church”
Tirey Samsill was born in 1929 in Seymour, Texas to Amdrew and Cora Samsill. Tirey was one of 23 Samsill children. He grew up on a small cotton farm during the great depression. Since there was no money to pay workers to work on the farm, a large family was the only way to keep things running. One day while he and his brother Cecil were out working in the cotton fields, they determined that there had to be a better way to make a living. They vowed that when they grew up, they would start some type of business together. True to their word, in 1953, they formed Samsill Brothers Plastic Co. Their company, which later became Samsill Corp., eventually grew to be one of the world's largest independently owned manfacturers of office products. Tirey had a passion for life that few people ever achieve. Known as "Fiery Tirey" to many, he used his drive and desire to help him succeed in every area of his life. He was valedictorian of his high school class and a standout athlete who went on to play football in college. After leaving college, he moved to South Dakota for two years to do mission work until he joined the U.S. army in the early 1950's. After finishing his tour with the military, he moved back to Ft. Worth, Texas where he worked as an electrician to help pay the bills while he and Cecil got their business started. Soon after coming to Ft. Worth, his brother Roy introduced Tirey to Loretta Culpepper and they were married just a few weeks later. Tirey and Loretta had two children, Mark and Susan, who both became Christians through the influence of their parents and who are both still involved in the business began by their father. Whether it was in his love for his family, his drive in business, or his enjoyment of the outdoors, Tirey never held anything back. This passion was demonstrated more than anywhere else through his relationship with the Lord. Tirey's father, Andrew, had been an elder in the church in Seymour while Tirey was growing up. His strong influence and example helped shape the man that Tirey would later become. He wanted to live his life in a way that if he were ever asked to serve as an elder, as his father had, he would be qualified. For most of the 1970's and 80's, he did serve as an elder for the College Hill Church of Christ in North Richland Hills, TX. As a teacher, preacher, deacon, and elder, Tirey's greatest |
desire was that he could influence as many people as possible for the Lord. It is what led him to write Why I Am a Member of the Lord's Church. Tirey died in 1989 from heart failure due to complications caused by cancer which he had been fighting for more than three years. Many people ha dcommented that if anyone could beat this disease it would be Tirey, but the obstacles proved to be too many. He lived his last few years as bravely and robustly as the first. Few were ever aware that he was fighting for his life. Nothing would make him happier than knowing that your life had been touched by the tract Why I Am a Member of the Lord's Church. His desire was for everyone to become a Christian. If this tract has helped you reach that decision, then that is the greatest compliment he could ever be paid. His wish would be for the Lord to bless your life and that you would become a member of the Lord's church. The comments above were made by Brother Samsill's son, Mark, a deacon with the College Hill Church of Christ. I never had the privilege of meeting Tirey Samsill; however, I am proud to be associated with an organization that would print and send his wonderful book. Bro. Samsill was known for the strong stand that he took on Jesus and the word of God. Elders today would do well to learn from his style of leadership. He was a shepherd that led others by going himself and not by pushing them into service. Mission Printing is proud to be a part of Tirey Samsill's dream for souls around the world. If Tirey Samsill has touched your life or the lives of those you love, please let his wife know. If you have used his booklet in your evangelistic efforts or for personal development, then we would encourage you to share this with her as well. Loretta Samsill |

My wife, Kaye, and I, at the invitation of John and Nell Cook, began coming to Mission Printing a little over three years ago with the "the Thursday bunch" from the Emory church of Christ. Now, we look forward to each second Thursday of the month when we can be at Mission Printing and work for the Lord by assembling tracts and doing other work that helps ensure scriptural material is made available to anyone that has a need. The fellowship that we have with the wonderful Christian staff at Mission Printing and with our brothers and sisters from the Emory congregation is always uplifting and encouraging. Our group has often discussed among us that, if we were closer, we would like to come more often than just once per month. It is an opportunity to do physical work that, if the Lord is willing, will help bring precious souls, whom we may never know, to God. Without Mission Printing, we might never have a chance to influence others far away to seek out God and His Son. For that, we are thankful to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The comments above were written by Loy Pressley of the Emory church of Christ in Emory, TX. Loy and his wonderful wife, Kaye, are dedicated to Mission Printing and its goal of world evangelism by the printed page. This Christ-centered couple comes the second Thursday of the month with a group from Emory. Bro. Pressley is also busy developing a Mission Printing website so that we can further our outreach throughout the world. “Train up a child in the way he should go, Proverbs 22:6 |

Taraba State, NigeriaWe have a deep appreciation for your untiring effort in reaching out to the lost through the tract ministry. This congregation has received evangelism material from you in the past. We thank you for this noble service. “Mission Printing is a powerful tool that God has given us in Africa.” Andrha Pradesh, IndiaWe were very happy to receive your books. Thank you very much for your kind love and tender mercies towards you fellow brethren. It is a great help to us. Your material is very helpful in my personal development and the development of the lost. Manipur, IndiaI pray for Mission Printing in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have received the material that you sent me. The material will aid in teaching the lost and maturing the saved. Thank you for the material. Though the postage rates in our country are very expensive, you are trying to help us with this problem by sending scriptural material to be used in our work at no cost to us. We are sharing the books with others in the area that are involved in teaching the lost. I pray to God for the work of Mission Printing. I thank Bro. Vendall Dollarhid for his words of encouragement and motivation. |

Please remember to spread the news of Mission Printing to individual Christians and congregations of the Lord's body. Our director, Vendall Dollarhide, is always ready for an opportunity to share the blessings of this wonderful work. If he has not made a presentation to your congregation, we pray that you will encourage the church leaders to invite him. He is always willing to fill the pulpit in the absence of the preacher and make presentations during class time. REMEMBER: The success of Mission Printing DEPENDS on you! |
