Amazing Responses
to Last Newsletter!

I wanted to take this time to offer my sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love since our last newsletter. Mission Printing made an appeal for a laptop for me to use to develop PowerPoint presentations at congregations and other locations. The appeal was heard and the funds began to arrive quickly. Thank you.

We also stated that if we had 500 people that could give $10 a month or increase their personal donation by that amount, it would increase our yearly donation by $60,000! Our supporters have responded! Many loving souls have answered the call. But we still need more to be able to meet our goal of "world evangelism by the printed page."

Mission Printing has received many comments about the articles written by Kristen Kiser. She has been touched by your encouraging comments. There are many young souls like Kristen throughout the church who are committed to Christ and spreading His message.

On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone for the cards, calls, emails, and prayers that have been given on my behalf. Your love and concern have touched me. It is great to be a part of the body of Christ! God is blessing each and every one of us day by day. I wanted you to know that YOU ARE A BLESSING TO ME!

Ongoing Postal Changes

Our shipping procedure has changed once again! The US postal service has added a new service in an attempt to regain lost business. This new service will allow Mission Printing to ship a box (up to 20 lbs) for $49.95 to any location in the world. Presently, 20 lbs. cost between $32.00 ($1.60/lb) and $75.20 ($3.76/lb), which is an average cost of $53.60 ($2.68)/lb).

Typically, we will experience a savings; however, there will be times which we will not. Mission Printing is striving to keep its eyes on the big picture and not get shortsighted. Our aim is to spread teh saving message of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and to be the best stewards with the resources with which He bleses us.

using a 1 pixel by 1 pixel graphic to make avertical line

The private company which we were using for our shipments was fraught with continuous problems. They wanted to raise our rates. We dealt with billing problems with every invoice. We neve knew if the company was going to arrive and pickup our shipments. It has been a learning experience for Mission Printing and our entire mailing crew.

Mission Printing continues to need your prayers as we strive to improve our service in the kingdom and the harvest fields. There are millions of starving souls that still need to be fed the word of God and the truth that is found in His Son, Jesus Christ!

Thanks for being an inspiration to my work in Nigeria. I appreciate all your endeavors and pray that God continues to bless Mission Printing as you continue with such lofty ideas on how to preach the gospel.

Thank your for the parcels you sent to us at the early part of this year. Please continue to send us material, including Bibles and songbooks for our students.

Worship of the church was interrupted by fire ball
from Muslim radicals; this is a picture of the
physical results; the spiritual result is a stronger and brighter fire that burns in the souls of the
Christians in this area for the lost, no matter
who they might be.

Thank you for the great work you are doing in spreading the Good News through the printed page. The material you have been sending me has been of great importance in reaching the lost with the gospel. It is therefore, my request that you send me more material to enable me to reach more people.

Martin Johnson

I'm a missionary working with the churches of Christ in Indonesia. Many people want to improve their English, so I use WIE to evangelize. For the advanced students, I would like to assign book reports and your books would be excellent. How can I acquire some for this purpose?

I enclose a letter that is a copy sent to me by a Nigerian preacher whom I know well, Jerry E. Yenigha of the Amarata church of Christ in the capital city of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, West Africa. This letter is his request for 2,000 paperback songbooks which Mission Printing produces. When I was in Nigeria earlier this year (12 weeks), I worked in Bayelsa State for a few days. The brethren in this state need songbooks. While I was there, they brought this matter up, and I told them they should write you and that possibly Mission Printing might be able to help.

Well, his letter came to me today. Perhaps you have received your copy of the letter already, but I wanted to let you know that I know the brethren in Bayelsa State, and their need for songbooks is legitimate! I am hopeful that you all might be able to help those brethren. Whether you can or cannot, just know that your materials in Nigeria are highly appreciated and used well by the Nigerian brethren that I am familiar with! God bless you all!

Thank you fo rwhat you have been doing for us. Mission Printing has helped our church to grow and to teach the lost. In November, I went to Obeama Ariam in Ikwuano LGA to see my WBS students. Two of them were baptized. Their names are Grace Godwin and Ngozi Alexander. On the riverside, 5 boys were bathing so I began to teach them the word of Jesus. One of them believed, repented, confessed, and was baptized. His name is Onyegecha D. Akachi. Praise God for a tool like Mission Printing!

Kumba, Meme, Cameroon

Special greetings to Mission Printing from all the teachers in our school. I hope the Lord is richly blessing all of you.

I want to thank you for the consignment of JESUS LOVES ME LESSONS that you sent to our school 2 years ago. They have been of very great importance to the children. We have used all the books.

We are hereby applying for more of the books.

Godfrey Zambani

I am a member of the Coldstream Church of Christ in Chinoyi. Our town is situated in the Mash–West Province of Zimbabwe.

I was given your contact information by Marion Pearson, a co–director of the Sojourners.

I am working with small congregations in the remote areas in our province. Therefore, I am requesting material from Mission Printing that would be suitable for adults, youth, and Sunday school children. I also help my father–in–law, Donivert Khata, a WBS worker. I am trying to teach congregations about New Testament worship and the proper methods of praising our Savior. I have some villages that I want to visit soon and saturate with the excellent material from Mission Printing!

Baguio City, Philippines
Midtown Church of Christ
Jonathan “JoJo” Ramos

I'm happy to inform you that we received 12 boxes from Mission Printing just in time.

I have been involved with some of the medical and dental missions here in the Philippines by our brethren and found that we truly need sound material for distribution from the brotherhood. I've been talking to some old & new preachers where, due to the scarcity of sound material from the brotherhood, they rely on denominational study material, which is so dangerous for us here. They send their great appreciation because we are blessed with sound material for preaching, research, and evangelism from Mission Printing.

Whenever I travel and join missions, I see to it that congregations receive a box of material for their members. Now I have a list of congregations requesting some material. I'm so happy to be a part of Mission Printing, and I thank the Lord He gave this great opportunity of serving Him through Mission Printing. My family will be providing for the distribution of your material to those in need, including the expense of shipping. By the way, for your information, our post

office charges me almost $3 for every box. Well, God still provides us with the sustenance , so I'll carry the load as long as we keep on receiving your gifts for our people and bethren here.

We have also set up shelves in our congregation where we easily display Mission Printing material for the brotherhood besides the shelves of our Bible study center (which is doing great!). We will be planning to visit congregations who are willing to provide shelves or tract holders where we may supply Mission Printing material to them, or if we be having the means, we might provide the shelves, depending on our budget.

I have seen the great need for your songbooks during my visits. We will be preparing for distribution of the Mission Printing material this July.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your trust in serving our Father through Mission Printing. I pray that the Lord will bless and guide all our work for Him.

Olongapo City, Zambales, Philippines
Kalaklan Church of Christ
Michael Alop

My name is Michael Alop, a brother in faith in Olongapo City, Zambales, Philippines. I belong to the Kalaklan congregation. This city is where the US Naval base once stood.

I certainly agree with what your “signature scripture” in Mark says about preaching the gospel to all nations. In my own little way, I have been spreading the Good News of our Lord to everyone I am able. My way of spreading the gospel is by personal interaction (face to face). However, my resources are very limited.

It's with this need that I am writing Mission Printing. A brother in Baguio City gave me your website. If you could spare some scriptural material that you have at your disposal for my mission here, I would appreciate it. I really want to leave something behind when I leave homes or when I meed people on the streets. I want these people to read and ponder the word of God.

I am also partnered with W.B.S. in our area. As Christians, we should all share the same commitment as Mission Printing in spreading the gospel! I definitely share your passion!

Maesi, Chiangrai, Thailand
Daniel Kapa

Thank you so much for the spiritual material that you sent me. I shared it with all my friends and others. Those who are still searching for the Truth in my college will surely gain much from reading your material.

By the grace of God, I will be graduating in 2 months from now, and I will go back to Myanmar. Please send me more material so that I can reach souls in college and in my home community.

I live on the border of Thailand and Laos. There are many tribal people around me. Most of them have never heard the gospel of Christ. They are worshipping devils and other gods of their forefathers. If possible, I want to translate some of your spiritual books into my language for those who cannot read English. Please let me know if I have your permission to do this.

Thank you so much! May God bless you and make you bear much fruit for His glory.

Theo Rappard (Dean)

On behalf o four students, I would like to thank you fo rthe teaching material, which you have been sending us. Since most of our students come from poor backgrounds, they cannot afford to purchase much by way of such excellent material. We do not prescribe textbooks for that reason but provide reasonably comprehensive study guides. Your booklets help, therefore, by providing them with material they can teach and preach.

Here is an excerpt from an email I received this morning. I thought you might like to hear this great news of your labors in the Lord's vineyard.

A direct quote from Brother Washington O. Otieno (Nigeria):

“Brother, we are very much pleased with what you did. Mission Printing sent us songbooks, which have nice songs, and now we can spread the gospel with them. Our congregation can now sing and learn the word of God. Thank you very much for that.”

Look at those Crowd Followers, now aren't they a bunch?
Following the crowd from breakfast to lunch.
Never asking, "Where are we going?"
Just riding the current wherever it's flowing.

They say to themselves, “Now this sure is a breeze,
Following the crowd is as easy as you please.”
They never stop to consider where all this will end;
They just keep on following all of their friends.

“Everyone else must know where we're heading,
So why should I do any fretting?
I'll just follow the crowd all day and all night
I'm sure everything will turn out all right.

“Everyone is laughing and having such fun,
Why, not following the crowd would really be dumb.
I really don't care where all this may end;
I just want to keep having fun with my friends.”

But every road must come an end.
The Crowd Followers to have to round the last bend.
And when they do they will come face to face
With the Creator and Designer of the whole human race.

And He'll not ask what the crowd has to say,
For each person will have to speak for themselves that day.
And when everything had been said and been done,
The crowd again will march forward as one.

No one will, that day, want to follow their friends,
Because they know destruction will be their end.
But because they spent their life following the crowd
On that final day not turning back will be allowed.

The life and direction of the church is largely determined by the eldership and other leaders. That is why Paul warned the elders of the Ephesian church, “For I know this, taht after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speakng perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves” (Acts 20:29-30).

With the wrong kind of leadership, the early church was led into apostasy and a departure from the apostle's original teaching that had been received from our Savior, Jesus Christ. With unscriptural leaders, the church entered a time of religous appeasement and religious entitlement. Paul warned of this departure in I Timothy 4:1–2, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.” This continues to be a warning for the church today!

Church leaders that are crowd followers are displaying a loss of respect for the word of God and its suthority. We are not free to change God's word under any circumstances!

Many congregations are will to overlook or modify certain God given requirements for elders and deacons in order to have leaders in place. This is exactly what took place in the original departure from the church that Christ established and for which He died. I value the need for congregations to have elders and deacons; however, upon examination of Scripture, I do not believe that it is our right to "fast track" men for these God given leadership roles.

The church is at a crucial time in its history. We cannot be Crowd Followers and compromise any part of God's word, no matter how good our intentions. Any departure from the truth found in God's Word is a step to destruction!

Page 5, heading 2, Wasted Away Due to Lack of Use by Vendall W. Dollarhide

In Sogovia, Spain, there is what remains of an aqueduct built by victorious Romans in the year 109. For 18 centuries, this aqueduct carried sparkling water from the mountains to one town.

About the turn of the century, it was decided that the aqueduct should be preserved for posterity. Modern pipes were laid and the sparkling water was rerouted through these new pipes.

Shortly thereafter, the aqueduct started to fall apart. The sun dried the mortar and it crumbled. Then the stones sagged and fell into ruins.

Don't let the world convince you to retire from life. The younger generations of Christians are able to walk the path of life because of your past journey and the journey that continues. Your journey, as with all journeys, is not complete until you find yourself at the feet of God and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Don't find yourself being dried by the heat of the world and falling into ruins because of the lack of use. CONTINUE to put your life to use in the service Jesus and His kingdom.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

II Timothy 1:7
